David Cliff Wokingham Half Marathon official times and 1000 photos of the event released

On Sunday, February 25th, 2023, the David Cliff Wokingham Half Marathon showcased an outstanding display of athleticism by winner Alexander Teuten, bib #4 representing Southampton AC. Teuten’s remarkable performance included completing the 13.1-mile race with an impressive gun time of 01:04:48, achieving a notable speed of 12.13 miles per hour, and maintaining a swift pace of 04:57 min/miles.

The event has put Wokingham on the map with wide coverage including on the BBC News. Runners came from all over the country to compete on what’s becoming known as the fastest course for a half marathon

The Wokingham Half Marathon, with its inception in 1984, boasts a storied history as it has hosted international trials and local championships. In the memorable year of 2023, Christine Kennedy set a world record in the W65 category (women aged between 65 and 70), and an impressive count of over 550 runners completed the race in under 90 minutes.

The event not only celebrated seasoned athletes but also embraced the Wokingham Children’s Mini-Mile, introduced in 2020, allowing young participants to partake in the running excitement. The Mini-Mile commenced from the starting line at 10:15, contributing to the marathon’s inclusive and engaging atmosphere.

Within the competitive landscape, winner Alexander Teuten emerged victorious with an exceptional performance. Securing the second and third positions were Alexander Miell-ingram, bib #2 from Radley AC, with a gun time of 01:07:22, a chip time of 01:07:22, a speed of 11.67 miles per hour, and a pace of 05:09 min/miles, and George Phillips, bib #6 from Notts AC, finishing closely in third place with a gun time of 01:07:29, a chip time of 01:07:29, a speed of 11.65 miles per hour, and an identical pace of 05:09 min/miles. These outstanding performances contributed significantly to the excitement and competitiveness of the Wokingham Half Marathon.
