Woodley was the scene this morning for an attempted break-in at the Post Office in McColls in Crockhamwell Road.
Police were called to the precinct after the shutters to the convenience store were forced at the bottom in an attempt to get in.
A cordon was set up with police cars at the scene while investigations took place. The rest of the shops in the precinct were business as usual.
